Approval required: Do not begin an outdoor burn until the City of Covington Fire Department has issued an approved permit.
Apply for a residential burn permit
The department's current published instructions describe an in-person application at Station 21, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The permit is free and valid only for the day issued. The original Community Connect program also references burn permitting in its portal; contact the department to confirm currently accepted submission options.
