Community Connect

Free voluntary emergency information-sharing for Covington residents and businesses.

Community Connect is a free, voluntary platform that helps residents and businesses provide information useful to emergency responders before an incident.

Privacy: Information shared in the secure Community Connect portal is intended to assist emergency responders. Enter only the information you are comfortable sharing and review the provider’s current privacy and security notices.

How it works

  1. Create your account. Sign up with contact and property details.
  2. Share the information that matters. Add details that could help the department during an emergency.
  3. Maintain your profile. Update your contact information, access needs and plans when they change.

For households

Property

Building type, access considerations, fire sprinklers, and family meeting locations.

People

Emergency contacts and information about household members who may need assistance.

Accessibility needs

Mobility or functional needs that responders should consider.

Pets

Information that may help responders locate or evacuate pets.

For businesses

Businesses, schools and other facilities can share contact information, access and utility locations, emergency plans, hazards, building systems and other information useful to responding crews.

Burn permits

The existing Community Connect site also describes burn-permitting tools. However, the department’s published burn-permit page states that residents apply in person. Please confirm the accepted application method with the department before relying on an online permit request.
